Crock Pot Christmas Recipes for Meats

Growing up I always thought most folks did turkey and ham. For both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I honestly never thought about doing something different.

Then I start a blog and get involved with other food bloggers. And BOOM! Boy, did my perception change.

There'sboth turkey and ham but there are also a few other alternatives...

Bacon Wrapped Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (2)

This one’s delish! Turkey breasts are so prone to drying out. Not if you wrap it with bacon. And it isn’t difficult either. The first time I tried it, it took me about 15 minutes. After that first session, like 5. And so worth it too! ‘Cause the bacon will actually cook right up in the slow cooker. Pretty cool 😊...

5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Spiral Ham

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (3)

Okay, or 6 ingredients. If you do the brown sugar, it’s six. But either way…you will LOVE this ham. It’s so very easy and everyone that’s ever tasted it LOVED it!

Pssttt…If you go this route for your Christmas ham, save that ham bone! Even if you have to freeze it. Don’t throw it away! Even if you’ve got tons of leftovers…just toss it in a freezer bag and make up this yummy later in the winter.

UGLY Crock Pot Turkey

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (4)

This is the biggest one I've laughed at to date. At myself I mean. 'Cause did you know you can cook a turkey in a bag? Sure. Old news, right? But did you know you can cook like a 12-pound or less bird right in your oval crock pot? You bet you can!

BUT, be warned, it's ugly. It's juicy and tender and delicious. But again...it's ugly. So, it's perfect for taste and for slicing and pulling off the bone to put on a platter...but not so much if you're using it for the center display type thing...

Psst…If you decide to go this route, don’t forget to save the carcass and scraps to make turkey bone broth. You’re not spending any extra $ to make it and it is freaking AMAZING!

Honey Maple Crock Pot Ham

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (5)

This one is a classic sort of ham. It's a pre-cooked option that we had years and years ago. It's got whole cloves stabbed throughout it. And the sweetness of honey, maple and a touch of apple. It's great for a more classic ham. It will also slice great for sandwiches later. OH! And it's only 5 ingredients too!

Bacon Maple Garlic Crock Pot Pork Loin

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (6)

Here’s an alternative if you are just plain tired of turkey. And ham. Or both. The most time-consuming thing on this one is precooking the bacon. No worries. Bacon can be baked right up in the oven and frozen for later. You’d better hide it if your house is anything like mine though. 😊...

Pineapple Glazed Pork Loin

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (7)

Here's another delicious not-quite-so-traditional option. It's a pork loin too...just like the one up above. But you'll be using pineapple preserves for the marinade. And BOY, OH BOY...it is YUMMY! Add those little Bacon-Ranch Baby Potatoes on the side...heavenly :)

Slow Cooker Side Dishes

Country-Style Crock Pot Mashed Potatoes

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (8)

These potatoes are super simple. Peeling is optional and the cook up right in the slow cooker. Toss in your other ingredients and hit them with an immersion blender. If you’re doing a buffet style meal they can even be left on warm and served right out of the crock!

Easy Crockpot Scalloped Potatoes

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (9)

This scalloped potato recipe is amazing. Creamy, cheesy yumminess that SO easy. Peeling potatoes is optional on this one too!

Crock Pot Green Bean Casserole

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (10)

Here’s a deliciously easy classic made a little bit deliciously easier. It’s got all your classic flavors and cooks up right in the slow cooker. Cause dang there ain’t ever enough oven…

5-Ingredient Bacon Ranch Potatoes

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (11)

If you’re tired of the classic mashed potatoes OR want a second alternative…here you go! These couldn’t be easier. Wash, toss and cook!

Bacon Ranch Crock Pot Stuffed Mushrooms

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (12)

You can serve this deliciousness up as a side dish or as an easy crockpot appetizer. If you’d prefer, you can also bake them. Just bake them at 425 degrees for 25 minutes.

5-Ingredient Slow Cooker Dressing

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (13)

Or should I say stuffing? I understand the technical difference…like in the bird is stuffing, as a side, it's dressing…but it’s just one of those terminologies I personally don’t get. Whatever you call it you might wanna try it. This one does NOT dry out. Not straight out of the crock…not the next day for leftovers…and not 3 days later either. Excellence 😊...

Buttered Herb Crockpot Mushrooms

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (14)

Okay, so this one isn’t a classic per say. BUT it was a huge hit! These mushrooms take absolutely nada on time to prep.

And they are so forgiving. This is another one of those recipes you can just turn to warm after it’s cooked and serve right out of the crock.

I’ve never had them burn either. Which I thought was really cool. Cause I forgot to turn that crock off and left it on overnight. There were a LOT of crockpots going at that event.

Slow Cooker Corn Casserole

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (15)

And here’s another crockpot classic. It’s super easy to go this route and free up a little more oven room.

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (16)

Thrill the kiddos. Heck, thrill me too! It’s super creamy and very easy too. I’ve only had it stick to the edges once and that was cause I forgot to butter the crockpot insert. Other than that brain-lapse…it can stay on warm for several hours too.

Honey Garlic Crock Pot Brussel Sprouts

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (17)

You either love ‘em or hate ‘em. We love them and they’re usually a big part of a lot of our holiday meals. Making them in the slow cooker retains all the vitamins that boiling them usually washes away.

Your crockpot’s gonna be a steamer of sorts for this recipe and it works great as one too! Just check out this One-Pot Kielbasa Dinner or this …same principle for both. But those guys are one-pot meals too 😊...

Crockpot Christmas Breakfast

Christmas morning is a blast! It’s so much fun! We’re at the age now we’ve got littles again. These just happen to be grands and fur-babies now.

But the stockings and wrapping papers are so much fun! The squeals and happy faces…even for the smallest things. They are just happy little critters.

But with all the fun, breakfast gets forgotten most times. So why not toss one of these crock pot casseroles in the night before and it’ll be ready in the morning when you are…

Crock Pot Tater Tot Casserole

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (18)

This casserole uses tater tots for your potatoes, ground meats for your protein and lots of creamy, cheesy yumminess to round it all out.

It’s can be made in the slow cooker, in an oven-safe skillet OR using a casserole dish. It’s also a great slow cooker freezer meal. And part of one of our growing slow cooker freezer meal cooking sessions.

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (19)

This cheesy goodness goes over great for Christmas morning. Or any morning. It’s also a great breakfast-for-dinner idea too!

Overnight Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole

Crock Pot Christmas Recipes | SlowCookerKitchen.com (20)

Here’s another slow cooker breakfast casserole recipe. It’s a lot like the Ham and Cheese one up above but uses any sort of meat you have on hand…

That's all for now. I'm sure there are lots more recipes YOU might like to add to your crock pot Christmas recipes list. You can easily check out ALL our recipes in Slow Cooker Kitchen's Full Recipe Index. Let me know if you find something else you think that'll rock a Crock Pot Christmas...you can contact me here.
