(Be sure to keep an eye out for 10 references to random forumers!)

This episode went down the wrong path once. The gargantuan time-meddling and fate-wavering has finally come to be. Unchanged, this construction of leather is the TRUE episode 8. Ready to see the word "Chestplate" so many times that you think it's not a word anymore?

(None of these specify the enchantment glow effect, although I will be keeping a ❈ Defense symbol for the hex color of each piece.)

  • Arachne's Chestplate: A co-op soulbound chestplate which increases health and defense further for each piece of the Arachne set equipped. Can be salvaged for 5 Spider Essence. Obtained from Arachne (both tiers).
  • Adaptive Chestplate: A chestplate which adapts to your class in Dungeons, and fails to adapt outside of it. Costs 4m coins from Floor III Obsidian Chest (or 3.5m coins from Floor III Emerald Chest). The full set ability gives +2% stats to the armor per 5 Catacombs levels. The piece changes color and gives bonus stats to the armor depending on your class while in Dungeons:
    • Healer: +5 Mending, +40 Health
    • Mage: +50 Intelligence
    • Berserker: +20 Strength
    • Archer: +5 Crit Chance, +15 Crit Damage
    • Tank: +30 Defense; -5% damage taken per piece if the same monster hits you twice within 10 seconds
  • Adaptive Chestplate (starred): Adaptive is "starred" with 8 Scarf Fragments, which drop from Scarf in Floor 4+.
  • Great Spook Chestplate: Can only be obtained once (?) per account. Tyashoi Alchemist will give you this for 5x Decayed Bat. The only part about the Full Set Ability that still works is mobs with a level below your (not actually tracked) Fear stat run away when you get close.
  • Mineral Chestplate: A chestplate that gives a decent amount of defense and speed. While worn, you can mine 2 more blocks at the same time (of Breaking Power 3 or less, roughly 0.5s cooldown).
  • Shark Scale Chestplate: An upgrade to Sponge Armor. Crafted with 2 Enchanted Shark Find and a Sponge Chestplate. The full set abilities double your defense while in water (leading to an accidental infinite defense glitch) and reflect damage back at the attacker like Cactus Armor. It says 15%, but looks more like 33% or so. Requires Fishing 24 to use.
  • Farm Armor Chestplate: A piece of armor with lower Farming Fortune than Rabbit, but much more affordable. Crafted with 8 Enchanted Hay Bales. The full set ability makes you move faster in farming zones like there's Vqlcanic activity afoot.
  • Werewolf Chestplate: The old meta for ferocity, and to this day the only armor with Ferocity as a base stat. Crafted with 32 Werewolf Skin. The full set ability stacks up to 10 times; upon ferocity proccing, you get +50 Defense and all players within 25 blocks gain 1% of your defense as healing.
  • Wither Chestplate: The all-around character for Withers. Costs 10m coins from Floor VII bedrock chest. Can be upgraded into 4 different chestplates resembling the Wither Lords. Like the other four, the chestplate reduces damage from Withers by 10%, and the full set ability summons a Witherborn which deals massive damage in an explosion after homing in on a foe.
  • Skeleton Lord Chestplate: One of the few examples of a leather armor set with a different (not-a-head) helmet type. It gives some crit chance, crit damage, and EHP. The full set ability increases Strength and Crit Damage for every minute your party spent not already being done the Dungeon run. Drops from those skeletons with a golden helmet on.
  • Crystal Chestplate: This armor set changes to reflect the light level of where you're standing while the full set is equipped. Crafted with 8 Crystal Fragments. The full set ability changes the stats of the armor from 0 (at 0 light) to double (at 15 light). Here's the list of hex colors for Crystal Armor, from 0 light to 15 light:
    • 0: #1F0030
    • 1: #46085E
    • 2: #54146E
    • 3: #5D1C78
    • 4: #63237D
    • 5: #6A2C82
    • 6: #7E4196
    • 7: #8E51A6
    • 8: #9C64B3
    • 9: #A875BD
    • 10: #B88BC9
    • 11: #C6A3D4
    • 12: #D9C1E3
    • 13: #E5D1ED
    • 14: #EFE1F5
    • 15: #FCF3FF
  • Skeleton Master Chestplate: A decent chestplate for archer in general. The full set bonus is simple: it increases arrow damage by 25%. It gives some crit chance, crit damage, EHP, increases arrow damage by 5%, and... prevents arrows from being used up?! The full set ability increases arrow damage by an additional 25%. Drops from the skeletons that deal true damage nearly-instakill-- oh wait, they were nerfed a while back.
  • Stone Chestplate: The first example of a chestplate not part of an armor set. This chestplate is a tank-based one, only containing Defense as a base stat. While worn, players within 8 blocks of you (30 blocks if you're a Tank) take 10% less damage. Costs 80k coins from Ophelia.
  • Bouncy Chestplate: An armor set for archer in Dungeons that used to be super difficult to obtain. It gives some crit chance and EHP. The full set ability gives arrows a 25% chance to bounce to another enemy. Drops from those super skeletons wearing a lemon-lime kind of yellow.
  • Goldor's Chestplate: A Wither Chestplate variant specializing in EHP. Upgraded with 8x Jolly Pink Rock. Like the other four, the chestplate reduces damage from Withers by 10%, and the full set ability summons a Witherborn which deals massive damage in an explosion after homing in on a foe.
  • Skeleton Grunt Chestplate: A beginner chestplate for archer in Dungeons. It gives some crit damage and EHP, as well as increases arrow damage by 5%. Drops from those skeletons wearing an unsaturated banana yellow.
  • Young Dragon Chestplate: Also known as Sonic X Ender Dragon. Crafted with 80 Young Dragon Fragments. The full set ability increases the speed cap by 100 and grants +70 Speed while above half health.
  • Flaming Chestplate: A drop from Lava Flames (not to be confused with Lava Blazes, Lava Pigmen, Flares, Flaming Worms, Fire, nor BearValley_55) which decreases damage from Lava Sea Creatures by 5% and increases damage against them by 1.1x. Requires Fishing 33 to use.
  • Unstable Dragon Chestplate: A really good armor piece for Crit Chance. Crafted with 80 Unstable Dragon Fragments. The full set ability strikes nearby mobs for 3000 True Damage every 30 seconds.
  • Bat Person Chestplate: An armor set rumored to be owned by a guy named Bruce. The stats are tripled during Spooky Festival, and doubled if it's not Spooky Festival nor daytime. It also grants a +5% chance to find candy during Spooky Festival. The full set bonus increases the chance to find candy by an additional 5% and turns the Grappling Hook into a no cooldown flying machine just like in Hypixel's lobbies.
  • Yog Chestplate: A very yoggers mining chestplate upgrade that has a universal slot unlocked by default. Crafted with 40 Yoggies and a Flamebreaker Chestplate. The full set ability grants +1 Mining Speed per 10 Yog kills while wearing the set, capping out at 5,000 kills (or 25% more kills than max bestiary for Yogs).
  • Cheap Tuxedo Jacket: The first example on here which doesn't have a 4/4 set. It's also the first example on here that isn't named "Chestplate". Tuxedo sets have chestplate, leggings, and boots. This particular 3/3 set increases your damage by 50% while capping your max HP at 75. It costs 3M from Seymoure (or less off of auction).
  • Fairy's Polo: Another example of not being named "Chestplate". This armor set constantly changes color while the full set is equipped. Obtained from fishing in the Fairy Pond, or rarely from killing a Sea Witch. The full set ability allows you to work on quests for Tia as well as makes a noise [confirm] when an unobtained fairy soul is nearby. Here's the cycle of the hex colors for Fairy Armor:

  • Superior Dragon Chestplate: The ultimate chestplate for dragons. Crafted with 80 Superior Dragon Fragments. The full set ability increases most stats by 5% and AOTD's damage by 50%.
  • Holy Dragon Chestplate: The only chestplate which gives you Mending anywhere. Crafted with 80 Holy Dragon Fragments. The full set ability adds +200 to everyone nearby's health regen. (The full set ability of two Holy Dragon users do not stack)
  • Cactus Chestplate: A gimmick armor piece with a low boost of Health/Defense. Crafted with 8 cactus. The full set ability reflects some of the damage taken back at the attacker harder than a tommy and j episode. It says only 33% reflected, but it feels more like 300%.
  • Steel Chestplate: The final tier for Stone Chestplate, has the same piece ability. Has much higher defense and is Epic instead of Rare. Costs 5M coins from Ophelia. Requires a Floor VI completion.
  • Rampart Chestplate: A 0.2% chance chestplate drop from random Crimson Isles mobs. The stats are increased by 50 Health, 20 Strength, and 15 Crit Damage while at the Crimson Isles. Can be salvaged for 5 Crimson Essence.
  • Necron's Chestplate: A Wither Chestplate variant specializing in Strength. Upgraded with 8x Diamante's Handle. Like the other four, the chestplate reduces damage from Withers by 10%, and the full set ability summons a Witherborn which deals massive damage in an explosion after homing in on a foe.
  • Goblin Chestplate: A rare drop for goblins that used to synergize with Wither Cloak so well that they had to nerf the sword. It's one of the few armor pieces to grant a negative base Intelligence stat. The full set ability drops your Intelligence to 100, granting +1 Mining Speed for every 15 Intelligence removed. (Keep in mind, this also changes the mana cost of % max Mana abilities to a lower amount.)
  • Elegant Tuxedo Jacket: The most prestige of suits. Costs 75M from Seymoure (or somewhat-cheaper from auction). The full set bonus lowers your max health to 250, but increases your damage by 150%. FUN FACT! Elegant Tuxedo Jacket is tied for 2nd in the most Crit Damage base stat on a chestplate with Fiery Terror Chestplate. Infernal is first place.
  • Old Dragon Chestplate: The early game tank set, at least for some Ironman players. Crafted with 80 Old Dragon Fragments. The full set ability increases the effects of Growth, Protection, True Protection, Feather Falling, and Sugar Rush. It doesn't specify whether it boosts projectile/blast/fire protection.
  • Zombie Commander Chestplate: A decent chestplate from an annoying mob. The full set ability grants +5 Health to the armor set for every 50 Zombies killed while wearing this set (to a cap of +500 HP). Drops from the strafing, candy apple flavored zombies.
  • Starlight Chestplate: A leather chestplate part of a half-gold half-leather set. It's a decent early game Mage armor. The full set ability increases the range and duration of Starlight Wand. Costs 70,000 coins from Rosetta. Y'know, this kind of looks like that one Dungeons armor piece...
  • Glacite Chestplate: A chestplate granting True Defense and Defense, as well as some mining speed. It's a 0.25% drop rate from Ice Walkers.
  • Pumpkin Chestplate: This weak chestplate gives 14 Health and Defense. Crafted with 8 pumpkins. The full set ability reduces damage taken from mobs and increases damage to mobs by 10%. It's essentially budget Monster Hunter :Omqgalol:
  • Magma Lord Chestplate: The best fishing chestplate there is. Crafted with 8 Magma Lord Fragments. Requires Fishing 45 to use. Wearing 2 or more pieces grants immunity to lava in the Crimson Isles. The 4-piece set bonus grants +1 SCC and +5 Magic Find against Sea Creatures, but with Magma Lord Gauntlet making it a 5-piece set you instead get +1.5 SCC and +10 Magic Find against Sea Creatures.
  • Celeste Chestplate: An okay mage armor piece for those below Combat 9. Costs 8,000 coins from Rosetta.
  • Lapis Armor Chestplate: My casual shirt. Drops from Lapis Zombies. Wearing this gives you +50% EXP orbs from ores. The full set ability simply gives +60 HP.
  • Speedster Chestplate: An armor piece crafted from metric tons of sugar cane... in specific, 8 Enchanted Sugar Cane. The full set ability adds 20 more speed and (more importantly) gives an achievement.
  • Spooky Chestplate: Its main role is candy, not stats. Purchased from Fear Mongerer for 64 Purple Candy. The chestplate gives a +5% chance to find candy during Spooky Festival. The full set ability increases the chance to find candy by an additional 5%.
  • Maxor's Chestplate: A Wither Chestplate variant specializing in Speed and Crit Damage. Upgraded with 8x Bigfoot's Lasso. Unlike the other four, this chestplate grants a bonus +5% damage to arrows. Like the other four, the chestplate reduces damage from Withers by 10%, and the full set ability summons a Witherborn which deals massive damage in an explosion after homing in on a foe.
  • Protector Dragon Chestplate: The oldest "bad dragon set" in the game. Crafted with 80 Protector Dragon Fragments. The full set ability increases each piece's defense by 1% for every 1% of your health missing.
  • Chestplate (of Growth): An piece of "Armor of Growth". Crafted with 8 stacks of Enchanted Dark Oak Logs. The piece ability (on kill) grants up to +100 Bonus Health on the armor piece (1 gained per kill), and heals you for 1% of your Max Health. It has a 4s cooldown, and the bonus picks a random Armor of Growth piece if you have multiple on.
  • Guardian Chestplate: A cool and affordable chestplate. Crafted with 256 Prismarine Crystals and 256 Prismarine Shards. With a 60s cooldown, it'll block the first hit you take (if it's not already blocked by something else). Of course, certain attacks will bypass this safety. The "secret" full set ability decreases damage taken by 25% and increases damage dealt by 25%.
  • Farm Suit Chestplate: A decent starter set for farming AND a way of showing how outclassed even Diamond Gear is in Hypixel SkyBlock. Crafted with 8 hay bales. Its full set abilities are (1) granting +20 Speed while on a farming island or near a Farming Minion and (2) regrows a crop on public islands every 3 seconds.
  • Frozen Blaze Chestplate: I've said it before and I'll say it again: when Hypixel wants to use Enchanted Packed Ice, they always ask "How many stacks?" The answer for the chestplate was 1, the answer for the full set was 4. The full set ability slows enemies, and does passive damage every second to mobs nearby. The damage is capped around 3.9k, so it's not something that can instakill Crimson Isles mobs on its own.
  • Emerald Armor Chestplate: A semi-tanky armor set with decent defense. Crafted with 8 Enchanted Emerald Blocks. Its full set ability grants +1 Health and +1 Defense per 3,000 Emerald Collection. This'd be pretty OP... except that it caps at 1.05M collection. (+350 HP/DEF)
  • Metal Chestplate: The middle tier between Steel Chestplate and Stone Chestplate. Its rarity is Epic and it costs 800k coins. The abiltiy is the same but the defense is in between the two. Requires a Floor III completion.
  • Skeleton Soldier Chestplate: An early-on chestplate for archer in Dungeons. It gives some crit chance, crit damage, EHP, and increases arrow damage by 5%. The full set ability increases arrow damage by an additional 25%. Drops from those skeletons wearing a slightly-more-orange yellow.
  • Wise Dragon Chestplate: The mage chestplate for those ranging from "Combat 16 and ready to mage" to "I got a F7 carry but not enough money for storm cp", eventiger pet users might use this for some reason. Crafted with 80 Wise Dragon Fragments. The full set ability reduces ability mana costs by 1/3, since halving them was apparently too OP once Sheep Pet came into existence.
  • Necromancer Lord Chestplate: An armor piece so great for EHP as mage, you could probably beat a Wither in a duel with it. Costs 10m from Floor VI Bedrock Chest. While worn, Necromancy weapons can store an additional soul. (They stay in the weapon even if you unequip the armor, but extras past the limit cannot be summoned without wearing it.) The full set ability increases the damage of summoned mobs by 20%.
  • Salmon Chestplate: The Rare and semi-boring one with decent EHP stats for Stranded. Crafted with 8 Enchanted Salmon. The full set ability uses up 20 mana when you sneak in water to give a burst of movement in the direction you're facing. Requires fishing 13 to use.
  • Miner's Outfit Chestplate: Definitely an armor piece. A chestplate with the same defense as a Farm Suit Chestplate, yet slightly more expensive. Nothing else, just +40 defense. It solo is just a weaker Farm Suit Chestplate but uncommon. Eh... well, if you still want to craft it just use 8 Enchanted Cobblestone. Lastly, the full set ability: it just gives you Haste II. (at least it's free Haste in under 3k coins!)
  • Berserker Chestplate: One of the best chestplates for Strength in the entire game, granting +60 of it (and +0 ehp stats). Crafted with 40 Magma Chunks, 50 Burning Eyes, and 5 Enchanted Red Sand Cubes. If you equip 2 or more pieces of this armor at once, your health and defense get reduced to half to make you even more of a glass cannon.
  • Mushroom Chestplate: A simple suit of Red Mushrooms with a small Health/Defense boost. The full set ability triples all of the armor's stats when it's not day time. Crafted with 8 Red Mushrooms.
  • Heavy Chestplate: One of the few armor pieces to come with negative base stats. The full set ability compensates for its base -5 Speed by granting +1 Speed per 50 Defense. Obtained from those low-health Zombies in floors below F4/M4 that take a lot less damage from everything.
  • ❂ Leather Chestplate: The vanilla variant over one hundred different armor pieces are derived from. Crafted with 8 Leather. This is the only chestplate which (at the current moment) is compatible with vanilla dyes.
  • Blaze Chestplate: The chestplate you rarely see people use. Can be upgraded into a Frozen Blaze Chestplate. Crafted with 8 Enchanted Blaze Rods. The full set ability damages nearby enemies to a cap of around 3.5k damage per second, scaling with Blaze Rod Collection.
  • Leaflet Tunic: One of the few armor pieces that gives zero base defense. Crafted with 8 leaves. The full set ability heals you for 5 HP per second while you're in "a Forest Zone".
  • Shadow Assassin Chestplate: The ultimate desire of every Sanoin, but they spent all their money on F5 carries. Costs 6M coins from Floor V Bedrock Chest.
  • Heat Chestplate: A chestplate with a small base Mining Fortune stat. Crafted with 320 Hard Stone. The full set ability makes Heat gain in Magma Fields happen at half speed.
  • Angler Chestplate: It's just fish armor. Crafted with 8 Raw Fish. The full set abilities reduce damage from Sea Creatures by 30% and increases the wearer's Health by 10 per Fishing level.
  • Super Heavy Chestplate: Another armor piece that comes with negative base stats. While worn as Tank, the cooldown of Seismic Wave is reduced by 1s. The full set ability somewhat-compensates for its base -10 Speed by granting +1 Speed per 50 Defense. Obtained from those low-for-the-floor's-health Zombies in floors F4+/M4+ that take a lot less damage from everything.
  • Obsidian Chestplate: An interesting non-set chestplate. Drops from Obsidian Defenders. For every 20 pieces of Obsidian in your inventory, you gain +1 Speed. (This'd cap out at +112 Speed if you remove every item from your inventory and fill it with Obsidian.)
  • Salmon Chestplate (again): This isn't a double entry. There's two pairs of Salmon Armor in the API: one with better stats, 32x cost, and Epic rarity, and the updated one with lower EHP and Rare rarity. This set is the now-unobtainable Epic one.
  • Rotten Chestplate: Like a caramel green apple in its color scheme, this armor piece grants a 15% decrease in knockback against arrows. The full set ability takes away an additional 20% arrow knockback. Drops from the least tasty caramel apple flavor: rotten flesh.
  • Sponge Chestplate: A chestplate made for absorbing blows... like it's made of some sort of spongey material. Crafted with 8 Enchanted Wet Sponge. The full set ability doubles your defense while in water. (See the point on Shark Scale Chestplate for how this was bugged before.)
  • Armor of Magma Chestplate: A now-uobtainable chestplate which used to be called just "Magma Chestplate". When it was craftable, the materials were 96 Enchanted Magma Cream. The full set ability grants +1 Health and Intelligence for every 10 Magma Cubes killed (to a cap of +200 HP/Int).
  • Zombie Lord Chestplate: Another example of a leather armor set with a different helmet type (that isn't a player head). The full set ability increases Strength and Defense for every minute your party spent not already being done the Dungeon run. Drops from those zombies with a golden helmet on. ...no, the other one. The one in what looks like-- it's the Poisoned Apple flavoured one.
  • ❂ Bronze Hunter Chestplate: This is one of the rare cases of a custom armor piece not having a dye color added to it. Anyway, this set is obtained for getting 15/18 Bronze Trophy Fish or higher then talking to Odger. The full set ability prevents sea creatures from attacking you (and essentially gives you 0 SCC).
  • Shimmering Light Tunic: A chestplate in a dark BrueBen-- I mean blue hue with decent EHP and intel stats. Crafted with 5 Enchanted Mycelium Cubes + 60 Y + 10 Z. (Y, Z = item names) The full set ability triples exp gain from basically everything except EXP bottles.
  • Fancy Tuxedo Chestplate: The odd cousin of "lowest HP in the game" Cheap and "time to do 50 drags live on stream" Elegant. The full set ability increases your damage by 100% while capping your max HP at 150. It costs 20M from Seymoure (and less on auction).
  • Storm's Chestplate: A Wither Chestplate variant specializing in Intelligence. Upgraded with 8x L.A.S.R Eye. Like the other four, the chestplate reduces damage from Withers by 10%, and the full set ability summons a Witherborn which deals massive damage in an explosion after homing in on a foe.
  • Strong Dragon Chestplate: Budget Necron or a low-cata non-pet-locked chestplate for Strength. Crafted with 80 Strong Dragon Fragments. The full set ability buffs AOTE's damage, teleport range, and speed after teleport duration, as well as adding +5 Strength on use to the ability.
  • Shadow Assassin Chestplate (starred): The moment what once was a Sanoin evolves into... let's just call them a "SA user". Shadow Assassin armor is "starred" with 8 Livid Fragments, an item dropped from Livid in Floors 6/7.
  • Zombie Soldier Chestplate: Another Dungeons chestplate with just EHP base stats. The full set ability is essentially Armor of the Pack's defense buff but without it specifying a cap. Drops from a slightly less disgusting caramel apple flavour.
  • Final Destination Chestplate: No items, fox only. Crafted with 4 Null Ovoids and 4 stacks of Enchanted Redstone. Killing enough Endermen while wearing this will grant extra defense against them. The full set ability is activated by sneaking while in combat, consuming 2 Soulflow per 5s to give Strength, Bonus Attack Speed, Speed, 1.25x Intelligence, Ferocity against Endermen, and double damage against Endermen.
  • Tarantula Chestplate: A chestplate which grants total immunity to anti-healing while worn, as well as yet another Bulwark armor piece. The full set ability makes every 4th hit deal double damage and apply Venom to the target for 4s.
  • Reaper Chestplate: A gray chestplate which could almost be ca_mo for the stone in the Crypts. It's yet another chestplate with a "Bulwark" ability, this time for Zombies. Crafted with a Revenant Chesplate, 6 Enchanted Diamond Blocks, and 2 stacks of Revenant Viscera. There's 2 full set abilities: (1) a passive Defense increase against zombies, +100% damage against zombies, and more healing from Healing Wands at the cost of -99% damage against non-zombies; (2) an ability activated by sneaking, granting +100 Speed, Damage, and Strength for 6s with a 25s cooldown.
  • Chestplate (of the Pack): Another example of an armor set with Leather Chestplate/Boots, but a different material for the other 2 pieces (this time, it's Iron). Crafted with 4x Golden Tooth and 2 stacks of Enchanted Mutton. The piece gives +50 Defense against animals and +5 True Defense in general (not directly as a stat for some reason). The full set ability gives +35 Strength and +80 Defense per nearby Armor of the Pack user, to a cap of 3 players. The leggings are single-handedly more useful than the other three pieces of the set combined.
  • Fermento Chestplate: The farming armor for farmers that farm. Crafted with 32 Enchanted Sugar Cane, 32 Enchanted Red Mushroom Blocks, 32 Enchanted Brown Mushroom Blocks, 30 Mutant Nether Warts, 20 Enchanted Cactus, 2 Condensed Fermento, and a Squash Chestplate. Wearing at least 2 pieces of Cropie Armor gives a chance to find Cropie, Squash, and Fermento for their respective crop types; it's essentially an amalgamation of the previous three tiers of armor. Requires Farming 40 to use.
  • Cropie Chestplate: The farming armor for farmers that farm [pumpkin, melons, and cocoa beans]. Crafted with a Tightly-Tied Kay Bale, 6 Boxes of Seeds, 20 Cropie, 45 Enchanted Baked Potatoes, and a Melon Chestplate. Wearing at least 2 pieces of Cropie Armor gives a chance to find Squash items while farming pumpkins, melons, and cocoa beans. Requires Farming 30 to use.
  • Kuudra Follower Chestplate: A chestplate with no base stats, symbolizing both one's desire to get Talismans as well as the ability for one to unite a whopping 5 other players (with the required armor/pet) to come together with a common goal. Co-op Soulbound, it's the only obtainable Special armor set. I hope NotQwertysAlt will be able to help me with getting it soon.
  • View attachment 3263735 Cashmere Jacket: The API refuses to specify a color for this chestplate. That's because it's different every time. Obtained from Principal Seymoure in the Garden.
  • Rabbit Chestplate: The ultimate farming armor for... maybe an axolotyl or something. Its only stat is +15 Farming Fortune, not even a Defense stat. The full set ability... adds +10 more Farming Fortune. I swear, this better be part of a quest in the future, because if not this REALLY needs a rework.
  • Squash Chestplate: The farming armor for farmers that farm [sugar cane, mushrooms, cactus, and nether warts]. Crafted with 8 Polished Pumpkins, 24 Enchanted Melon Blocks, 30 Enchanted Cookies, and a Cropie Chestplate. Wearing at least 2 pieces of Squash Armor gives a chance to find Cropie items while farming sugar cane, mushrooms, cactus, and nether warts. Requires Farming 35 to use.
  • Melon Chestplate: The farming armor for farmers that farm [wheat, potatoes, and carrots]. Crafted with 40 Enchanted Melons. Wearing at least 2 pieces of Melon Armor gives a chance to find Cropie items while farming wheat, potatoes, and carrots. Requires Farming 25 to use.
  • Snow Suit Chestplate: A decent armor piece for EHP early on. Rarely obtained from White/Green/Red Gifts. The stats are doubled while on the Winter Island, and grant a +5% chance to get bonus gifts during the Gift Attack event. The full set bonus (including equipment) prevents using up snowballs stored in a Snow Blaster when firing.
  • Nutcracker Chestplate: An upgrade to Snow Suit. Crafted with 24 Walnuts and a Snow Suit Chestplate. It buffs the bonus gift chance per piece to +7.5%, removes the need for equipment for the full set ability, and a new full set ability: Legion but only for Defense/Magic Find and only to a max of 5 nearby players. Requires Fishing 28 to use.
  • Carrot Chestplate: A chestplate for the Rift. Crafted with 7 stacks of Half-Eaten Carrots and an ‮Iron Chestplate‬. Under normal circ*mstances, this chestplate cannot have an enchantment glint.
  • Terror Chestplates: Infernal is the final tier of Terror Chestplate, and is one of the most EXPENSIVE armor pieces to make... and it's Co-op Soulbound. Like the other four I'll mention, this is a "Kuudra Armor" with five different entries, each obtained from the respective tier of Kuudra (or leveled up from a lower tier with stars).

Kuudra Armors have a Stack System. Doing a certain action grants a stack, each stack increases a stat, and certain Stack amounts grant an ability. Each armor piece grants a longer time frame before you lose a stack. In seconds, the time before losing a stack is (0/4/7/10) per armor piece count. Gaining a stack (even if you're already at max stacks) will reset the time until you lose a stack.

Terror's ⁑ Hydra Strike stack is gained upon shooting something with an arrow. Each stack makes arrows 30% faster and deal 10% more damage. At 10 stacks (max), there are two more arrows per shot.
    • Do note that all five tiers are different items in the API. regular, Hot, Burning, Fiery, Infernal
  • Crimson Chestplates: Crimson's Dominus Stack is incompatible with most English fonts, and is gained upon melee kill. Each stack gives +0.1 Swing Range. At 10 stacks (max), each melee hit does a swipe attack.
    • regular, Hot, Burning, Fiery, Infernal
  • Aurora Chestplates: Aurora's Ѫ Arcane Vision Stack is gained upon using the correct Runic Spell on a mob.

Aurora Staff has 3 Runic Spell modes: Mediator, Defender, and Virtuoso. If you're wearing 2 or more pieces of Aurora Armor, mobs nearby will show coloured particles representing which mode they represent.

Each stack gives +2% damage to Aurora Staff. At 10 stacks (max), each Aurora Staff ability creates an explosion if it connects.
    • regular, Hot, Burning, Fiery, Infernal
  • Hollow Chestplates: Hollow's ⚶ Spirit Stack is gained upon killing or assisting in killing a mob. Hollow works different; not only is its stack cap 50, the purpose behind Spirit Stacks is for Hollow Wand's ability.

Hollow Wand has 6 abilities, each one requiring a combination of left and right click. The spell's effectiveness usually varies with the number of armor pieces equipped. The spells are:
    (5) Left: Spirit Spark. Heals a single player for 5%/10%/15% of their max HP.
    (5) Right: Hollowed Shield. Grants a single player 100/150/200 Defense for 8s and heals them for 1%/2%/5% of their max HP. G7!
    (20) Left Left Right: Spirit Barrage. Heals every player within 20 blocks for 5%/10%/25% of their max HP.
    (20) Right Right Left: Hollowed Barrage. Gives everyone within 20 blocks 100/150/200 Defense for 8s and heals 1%/2%/5% of their max HP.
    (40) Left Left Left Left: Divine Spark. Heals a single player to full health.
    (50) Left Left Right Right: Ignited Hollow. Deals millions of damage to all nearby mobs.

    • regular, Hot, Burning, Fiery, Infernal
  • Fervor Chestplates: View attachment 3263736Fervor Stack is gained upon taking damage while "blocking" with your sword. Each stack reduces damage by 10%. At 5 stacks (max), getting hit "taunts" nearby mobs and gives a 3%/6%/10% damage reduction with a 5s cooldown.
    • regular, Hot, Burning, Fiery, Infernal
  • Thunder Chestplate: Crafted with 8 Thunder Fragments. This is another armor with a tiered set ability, this time with a necklace. It can store (-/2/3/4/5) charges, gaining a charge every (--/30/25/20/10) seconds. Hitting an enemy adds (0/+15%/+20%/+25%/+40%) damage per charge, removing all charges stored. Requires Fishing 36 to use.

Unused/unobtainable leather chestplates:

  • Minos Hunter Chestplate: Likely just the armor piece worn by Minos Hunter mobs. Uncommon, sells for 50 coins, has no base stats.
  • Sea Walker Chestplate: It's just the chestplate shown on Sea Walker sea creatures. Uncommon, sells for 50 coins, has no base stats.
  • Watcher Chestplate: Another example of a mob-specific armor piece only used by that mob. Oddly enough, this lacks a sell price and... a rarity? How does this item not have a rarity?!
  • Emperor Robes: Most likely just worn by the Sea Emperor mob. Yet another rarity-less armor piece... although this has base stats. +500 Defense.
  • Fallen Star Chestplate: Likely a scrapped set for the lone Fallen Star Helmet. Like the skull implies, this is a gray-green texture. It has no rarity, but sells for 1000 coins.
  • Water Hydra Chestplate: Yet another example of an armor piece made just for a sea creature to wear. Uncommon, sells for 50 coins, has no base stats.
  • Fallen Star Boots: I kid you not, this unobtainable set's "boots" are classified as a CHESTPLATE and have the texture of a leather CHESTPLATE.
  • Crypt Witherlord Chestplate: Most likely to be worn by the scrapped Crypt Witherlord mob. Gives +5 Speed and +120 Defense. Sellable for 1 coin. Requires Catacombs 18 to use.
  • Fallen Star Leggings: Oh boy, here we go again. Yet another rant about "lEgGGingS aRE cHestPlaTEs".
  • ❂ Test Vampire Chestplate: This undyed, unobtainable Rift chestplate sells for 15 Motes. The stats? +60 Rift Damage, +50 Rift Intelligence, +2 Hearts, and +25% Mana Regen. For comparison, this has 65 less Rift Time than the current highest-tier obtainable chestplate, ties said chestplate in Mana Regen, and has 1 Heart, 20 Rift Intelligence, and SIXTY BONUS RIFT DAMAGE more than that chestplate. It's also Epic rarity.

Also, keep in mind that custom Dyes exist. Said items are capable of changing the hex color of leather armor.

In terms of inventory space:

  • No this can't fit in your inventory.
  • I'm too tired and exhausted to list all of the costs.
    • Quite a handful of them are Co-op Soulbound / Soulbound anyway.
  • Carrot Chestplate is part of the Rift's chestplate progression, right behind the Vampire Slayer LVL 5 one.
  • 10 of these are unobtainable.

Please let me know if I missed anything/made a typo in the list! This is an extensive list of items, so there's bound to be mistakes!
For the final question, see the poll.

ok that is a very high effort post jeez man--tho it was a big TLDR post i still say GG
